Lancée le 1er Avril 2021 par la dynamique de l’opposition, l’élaboration d’un système électoral alternatif a franchi une importante étape le 6 Juin 2021.
COMMUNIQUÉ
La Plate-forme des Partis Politiques engagée avec les Organisations de la Société civile, les Personnalités Indépendantes et les Citoyens, à travailler pour la Réforme Participative et Consensuelle du Système électoral Camerounais, s’est retrouvée ce Dimanche 06 juin 2021 à Yaoundé dans le cadre d’une réunion comme prévu en respect de leur Agenda.
Il était question à cette étape, essentiellement de la mise à disposition formellement par le Secrétariat Technique, aux Leaders, du Rapport Général présentant l’ensemble des contributions reçues. Saluant le grand intérêt que les Partis Politiques, les Organisations de la Société Civile, des Personnalités et Citoyens ont accordé à cette initiative, à travers de très nombreuses et pertinentes contributions, une note de reconnaissance de la qualité du rendu par un Secrétariat Technique dévoué lui a été concédée par l’ensemble des Leaders, qui se sont engagés dans le meilleur délai, chacun en ce qui le concerne, de s’assurer de la transcription fidèle des propositions avant validation du Rapport. L’ultime Rendez-vous est donné pour : Consolidation du document des
Amendements Consensuels à apporter au Code Électoral actuel : Document qui fera l’objet d’une présentation à l’Opinion Nationale et Internationale, avec en annexe toutes les contributions et analyses ; Les Leaders ont pris la résolution de porter ce Document au Gouvernement de la République, dans la perspective d’une démarche garantissant le consensus le plus large possible.

STATEMENT
The Platform of Political Parties engaged with Civil Society Organizations, Independent Personalities and Citizens, to work together for towards the Participatory and Consensual Reform of the Cameroonian Electoral System, met this Sunday, 6th of June, 2021, in Yaoundé for a meeting as planned in accordance with their agenda. At this stage, it was mainly a question for the Technical Secretariat, to formally provide to the Leaders the General Report of all the contributions received.
Welcoming the great interest that Political Parties, Civil Society Organizations, Personalities and Citizens have demonstrated towards this initiative through very many and relevant contributions, a note of recognition for the quality of work rendered by a dedicated Technical Secretariat was appreciated by all the Leaders who made a commitment each in his own area, to ensure the faithful transcription of the proposals before validation of the Report as soon as possible.
The final meeting will be for the following:
– The Consolidation of the document of a Consensual Amendments to be made in the current Electoral Code.
– Document which will be the subject of a presentation to National and International Opinion, with appendix of all contributions and analyses.
The Leaders have taken the resolution to bring this Document to the Government of the Republic, with a view to an approach which will guarantee the broadest possible consensus.
